The writers submitted their 24-hour stories and learned about professionalism, while the artists learned the basics of commercial art.
Monday opened with a tour of the Author Services building for writers and illustrators alike. After the tour, the illustrators met Coordinating Judge Echo Chernik, while the writers learned about conventions and traditional vs. self-publishing.

Day Eight – For the first time in the week, writers and artists gathered in a combined workshop, “Promoting Yourself in This Day and Age” as promotion is vital in both the domain of the writer and the artist.
