Please note:

I would LOVE for this to be a continuing thread. If you know of any, or have any NWFs out there, let me know! Either below or in a PM. I will add the link to the list.

(Side note, I haven't been keeping up as much as I'd like. I'll continue to research on my own and hopefully find more. Come back for updates from time to time)

I recently put Warspawn, which is a non-winning Finalist, up on my website.

Thanks! I bet I'll have some new favourite stories after reading these. Smile
I became intrigued about finalist stories again when Liz put her finalist story up recently, which I'll read in the next week or so. I remember reading a couple of published semi-finalist stories but can't remember where.

I really enjoyed this story. It had some great worldbuilding (a war golem choosing to live a life of peace? I'm in!)
Thanks for sharing it!! wotf007

Same here. It was also interesting to read the prequel after (also on Liz's website), and I wondered if it was written before Warspawn.

It was, in fact.

“Weep No More For the Willow,” published in Deep Magic, Fall 2019, was a semifinalist in WotF. Dave’s critique showed me what I needed to do to sell it, and he believed it would sell. He was right.
