Tends to be pretty quiet in the middle of quarters. Right around deadlines and the start of the quarter things get hoppin’.

I hadn't noticed that many people gone. By nice if that many won, at least to finalist. Supposedly I am writing a new book, rewriting-not revising rewriting-one I just finished not so long ago. Hmm, this one may just be less than 50,000 words.

I know which story I will do for 4, already done actually. Just need two to four people to look it over. Unless another event happens of course than I won't need one anyway but as of now I do.

I noticed that there wasn't a single post yesterday, and was like "maybe something is going on with the Q2 results". wotf001

Scuttlebutt says it’ll be next week or later. Slow quarter. I suspect that means it was another huge quarter - stiffer competition, more slush to wade through, plus its summertime which is slow in publishing anyway.

We have Cookie messing with the hands and tumbleweeds tumbling. Would that be a western genre?

Oh, no, it's definitely speculative fiction with a western setting. There's werewolves and sasquatches in them there woods. wotf022

I should be in a writing mood but I am just a little-on other stuff since I have the next quarter already done.

I can watch with casual disinterestedness (the Jane Austen usage of disinterested) because I have no skin in the game for Q2. I sure wish I'd submitted something so I could be waiting with baited breath like everyone else Smile
