Figured I'd go ahead and re-post this here. Guess I'm the first on the forums to get one this quarter.

Dear Entrant,

We are working on ways to make the contest results faster and
have worked out that as stories are judged, you are notified
of results as soon as possible.

Your story has now been judged and did not win or place in
the 1st quarter. Even though you have never had to wait for
results in order to submit for the next quarter, this hopefully
gives you incentive to submit for Quarter 2, which is happening
now, the deadline being 31 March. The more often you enter,
the better chance you have of winning, and improving your skills.

I do urge you to join our forum if you have not already, or subscribe
to our judge, David Farland's newsletter. Lots of great tips at both
locations to help you.

I do hope you are already working on that next story and do let me
know that you did get this e-mail.

Best regards,

Joni Labaqoi

And I repeat, wotf061 .

Well I bet you are all on the edge of your seats with the results trickling down now. Unfortunately, I have to be the second to announce that I received a rejection today. I was hoping that in this moment of failure that some of the members would be willing to give me a critique of my story, The Last Creator. I am open to advice and will welcome any information that will help me improve my writing. If you are willing please send me a privatecritique message with yourthe email and I will write you backare with a .PDF or .doc as soon as I can. The story is approximately 11000 words. Thanks in advance. Best.

A member of my writing group received a rejection yesterday. He is not listed on Duotrope, so I'm not sure if this skews any predictions.
One thing to note is he entered very close to the end date.

Accomplishments:
SF: V32Q2, V28Q4
HM: V29 Q2, V30 Q2
Dave Farland: Short Story Master's Class, World Building
Viable Paradise XVI
Uncle Orson's 2011

KD hates my writing.

Did I mention I was rejected last week?

Reporting in with an R for Q1.

Not unexpected, as while I like the story a lot, it is definitely not a fit to this market. Now off to Duotrope to find markets for YA/middle grade steampunk-lite adventure...

Looks like I get to start the festivities off this week with a rejection. Gah. Oh well. It's already traveling through the internets to another market. <img src="{wotf}:wotf024:

I got a rejection, too. No surprise, though. Didn't seem like a good fit for the contest and I was right. Oh, well. On to the next market!

Well, crud. Form rejection arrived in my email today (for my e-submission). The form rejection doesn't insert author name or story title.

I'm a little extra bummed about this one because I thought this one a better fit than most of my submissions to WotF.
