Hi everyone. Something to consider - You know that story you loved but you didn't get past Honorable Mention or Silver?

Submit it again. Remember we have another judge reading now - Jody Lynn Nye. This next deadline is coming up - 30 September.

Best to you and good luck!  -- Joni

I'm totally doing that this quarter. Although I've also totally rewritten this one twice since I last sent it in. Hopefully for the better!

On the write fresh front, I am working on my novel, so new words are a'comin, but I'm not gonna miss another quarter. Especially with a new judge and new sentiments.

I don't know Jody well, yet, but I know she's gonna love ... (Looks at his extensive HM and SHM collection). shades

I'm writing fresh for this quarter and another anthology calling for subs. It's all good.

What a great idea. I may take you up on this if the new story doesn’t work out.

This is what I'm doing this quarter. I have a few new stories that are sitting and percolating before I finish editing on them. So I'll have new stuff eventually but I'm definitely sending back some old ones here for at least a quarter or two.

I've got a new one for this quarter, but I'll certainly bear it in mind. Thanks, Joni  smiley

All my old short stories submitted before Q1 of this cycle have major weaknesses... I'm looking to write a fresh story (or more) per quarter for a while now that I have better writing tools thanks to Moon's super secrets and Farland's 318R class. It IS a good idea for those who have stories that placed well in the contest before new judge took over.

WOTF results:
Before Moon's Vol 39 challenge, 6 R's: Vol 31 Q3, Vol 33 Q3, Vol 35, Q4, Vol 37 Q3 and Q4, and Vol 38 Q3.
Vol 39: Q1 RWC, Q2 HM, Q3 HM, Q4 HM
Vol 40: Q1 RWC, Q2 P
IOTF results:
Vol 39: Q1 HM, Q2 R, Q3 HM, Q4 HM
Vol 40: Q1 R, Q2 *

Somehow I lost my Guthington profile, but it's me. Amy Wethington = Guthington = Physa
