I remember looking into this, seeing as how it happened a month before I joined the forum. I went back and tried to find what thread or post had more activity, thinking some crazy party had gone on here. But I found nothing. Usually things peak around here when resutls come out or the award show night, but I've never seen anything like that. So I agree it must have been a glitch. But it would be cool if we all planned to login on a certain date and time just to try and break that record...

Using the Google wayback machine, we all log in at precisely 6:45 AM EST 1/11/2012 and post on the Jibber Jabber - q1 34 thread. Of course we can't see the posts until that thread is actually created... nothing that exciting really wotf017

Censor-beasts were like no normal creatures. They had expunged all individuality and variety from their genetic make-up. Since no form could be found that might not potentially offend someone they were amorphous. Quite literally when you'd seen one you'd seen 'em all; the problem was seeing one. A well-wisher had pointed out the biblical injunction to pluck out offending eyes, and as a result all censor-beasts had blinded themselves to any viewpoint but their own (and of course they only had one of those.) The result was that censor-beasts objected to anyone who had eyes on the grounds that such people might embarrass sensitive people who believed they might not be exactly beautiful and therefore didn't want anyone to see them.

Now you say that... neither of my two boys were, and one of them starts school in six months wotf015

It also amuses me greatly that Tina starts the thread, idly discussing the story that went on to be the Golden Pen winner that year. Like a moment frozen in time.

Both my kids were a live. BARELY. The youngest (now aged 4 and a half) would have been 2 weeks old at the start of this thread. (And indeed, I see that I was slacking off on the forums a mere week alter, with mention of him being 3 weeks old. wotf002 )

To many people (sadly) the definition of "history" is "it happened before I was born".

So we're now part of history!

This thread is like the writings of Nostradamus. The future is written here if you know how to interpret it.

If only there were someone who could interpret it for us...

That was the nature of a Censor Beast. So why did this one look different? Did its movements lack the total apathy that usually accompanied its thorough destruction of any artistic creation? Of any risky idea? The set of its eyes, the bridge of its nose looked familiar. Too familiar. And she was certain, that ruby stud was not standard Censor Beast issue. That alone was impossible! Please, don't let it be...

Ah, now Kaytlin knew why the censor beast looked familiar. She swatted away its feeble attempt at mind control. "For the last time, Jim, I'm not deleting our prenup. Now beat it, I'm in the middle of something here."
