I am very sorry to have just learned of the passing of Eric Flint earlier this morning. He was a good friend, an amazing writer, a Writers and Illustrators of the Future Judge, and always willing to lend a helping hand to the aspiring writer. We will all miss him at Writers of the Future!
Fare thee well, Eric. You are with Dave, writing for angels now.
Still hoping and working toward better -
One of these days, Alice . . . POW! We're going to the moon!
Heartbreaking news. It's been a sad year. Two of my writing idols and teachers gone, both absolutely foundational for my writing journey. My heart goes out to his family and friends, including everyone at the contest.
Eric was a straight shooter and told it like it is. I loved his no-nonsense approach to writing and the business of writing. He will be missed.
