Hi,
I am new to the forum. I read the rules about what is permissible to post. What are the limitations when sharing my story with a critiquer who has accepted to critique it? May I include the title?
I have added a post to "New Users: Introduce Yourselves".
Would someone be so kind as to critique my 10k-word, Sci-Fi story, please? I will gladly critique your story in exchange. I don't have much experience in critiquing but I will do my best.
Thanks for the tips, Wulf Moon!
Thank You,
FatThor

FatThor, just to give you the etiquette, it's a good idea to state genre, word count, and always offer to critique theirs in exchange. If you can cite if you have some experience, that helps too, but if you don't, that's fine. And it's really a good idea to introduce yourself first under New Users: Introduce Yourselves. We are a community, and we welcome those that wish to contribute to our community.
Cheers!

Hey everybody,
Anyone feel like a read through on 5,800 words?
I'm curious about the story's excitability.
Thank you,
I ain't cut out to be no Jesse James.
Thanks Wulf Moon,
I have updated my initial post with your recommendations.

Thanks Corbin Maxwell,
I have sent you a PM invitation to swap stories.
No title. No details (It's about a guy who is depressed and drinks beer until he gains 60 lbs).
I ask like this: Wordcount 5400 (Because there are going to be loads of stories around that #, and this doesn't break anonymity.)
And style: Fantasy, Sci-Fi etc.
Career:
1x Win
2x NW-F
2x S-F
9x S-HM
11x HM
7x R
Thanks Dustin,
So something along the lines of:
A 10K word Sci-Fi story about an underdog, who seizes an opportunity in a calamity and is unprepared for the unusual and far-reaching consequences.
Is that better?
Cheers!
I would be glad to give it a thorough critique. Let me know if you are willing to swap. Not required that you do, but I have a 6k SF piece that could use a fresh perspective if you are up to it.
