This quarter has been the biggest struggle ever for me. Is anyone up for a last-minute swap? At the latest, I'll aim to finish my draft by the morning of the 28th UK time (so early hours in the US). It's shaping up to be 3,000-4,000 words, but I can read more than that in exchange.
If you no longer have anything to swap this quarter, I'll be happy to critique something next quarter and/or non-WotF.

If the forum members who I've critiqued but haven't sent my own story to yet see this, there's no way I expect a critique of my piece back so late in the quarter, hence my request for swaps with other last-minute-people. Just so you know I haven't forgotten about you.

I'll take a look if you like Alex. No swap reqd.

I don't keep a tally, if you want me to take a look.

Thanks - and to those who PM'd me. I wasn't expecting such a response so late in the day, and at Christmas time too!
All quoted as I've contacted you, but the forum's PM system kept timing out. I tried e-mail instead. I checked the box to e-mail me a copy also, but none of those e-mails have come through (I've checked spam), so I am a little worried...

Just checked. Received it last night, Alex. I was watching the Wolves game.

If anyone who hasn't read my story would like to swap, that'd be a great help. I had two contrasting opinions on a rather important aspect. Failing that, I'll be pretty happy with what I submit anyway.
I plan to submit in around 12 hours at the latest (midnight UK time - I'm 8 hours ahead of PST time). Oh, and it's 4,200 words.

Sorry, I meant to post about this hours ago, but twins happened. I'll PM you my e-mail address. Don't have time for in-line notes, but I can give you a solid summary of my impressions.
If you are in difficulties with a book, try the element of surprise: attack it at an hour when it isn't expecting it. ~ H.G. Wells
If a person offend you, and you are in doubt as to whether it was intentional or not, do not resort to extreme measures; simply watch your chance and hit him with a brick. ~ Mark Twain
