Congrats Alex!!!

I'm in the same boat as Martin - I'm racing through the Hugo ballot as fast as I can. Can I just remind myself a year from now to remember to start AS SOON AS THE PACKETS COME OUT with the novels and work my way down to the short stories? I'm up to the novellas, and there is NO way that I can read even one of the novels by tomorrow, let alone A Dance with Dragons (Yes, I'm glaring at you, George R.R. Martin).

On second thought, I need to remind my future self about 8-9 months from now - if I reminded the July 30, 2013 Dantzel then I'd be in the same pickle!

All this future talk reminds me of How to Live Safely in a Science Fictional Universe. Anyone else read it?

Now that the announcement's been made, here are the details of my aforementioned second pro sale, copied and pasted from my Facebook page:

Okay, looks like the contributor list is public, so I can share the news: My short story "Prospect of a World I Dream," one of which I'm especially proud, is slated to appear in Futuredaze: An Anthology of YA Science Fiction alongside work by Rahul Kanakia, Lavie Tidhar, Jack McDevitt, Nancy Holder, and Camille Alexa, among others. Big thanks to all the folks who read and commented on this piece in its infancy, including Jeremy C Shipp, Brad Torgersen, Dave Hutchinson, and too many more to name. Blog post forthcoming.

A great feat indeed. I tried two stories there. Both no go. Congrats.

Also, congrats Kevin on another great sale.

Hi guys,
Congrats to everyone and congratulations to Aaron once again for his huge sale.
I’ve got my own minor announcement; I’ve picked up the opportunity to write some of the backstory to a game called Dragon Assault. The plan is that I write a 12K story based on one particular aspect of the game play and I’ve been given some very wide latitude how to approach it. There may also be other opportunities.
I get the bonus of cover art by the very talented Ryan Dowling ( http://rdown.deviantart.com/?rnrd=13837 ) which is an absolute thrill. His stuff makes me wish I could do something apart from stick figures.
It’s going to be a great game and I have to say that working on a large collaborative project is challenging but incredibly fun. The game is still in beta testing phase, but if you’re interested in signing up, I’ve included the link:

Me too! I was late taking my kids to summer day camp. Darn it, Annie 🙁 I saw it in my inbox (and advertised last night), so I came on to congratulate you on yet another big sale. We will need to have Brad develop a smile that says "Congrats, Annie!"

OK, off to writing!
