Solaris Rising: The New Solaris Book of Science Fiction is now available at Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and other fine retailers as a mass market paperback. I believe there is a Kindle version as well.

This science fiction anthology includes my collaboration with WotF judge Mike Resnick as well as works by other authors such as Alastair Reynolds, Stephen Baxter, Paul di Filippo, Lavie Tidhar, Ian Watson, and Steve Rasnic Tem. It was a wonderful opportunity to work with Mike and this collaboration most likely would never have happened had I not participated in WotF.

Keep on writing, folks!

After "Living Rooms", I look forward to anything you write! That was the most imaginative fantasy I have read in a long time!

Anywhere But Earth
available now.

There are at least three of us from these forums that are on the TOC (Dame, Patty and myself) and at least three WOTF winners (Patty Jansen, Jason Fischer and Cat Sparks) - along with names such as Rob Hood, Margo Lanagan, Richard Harland, Kim Westwood - (plus many more)

An excellent anthology that is sure to win awards.....

I was up in Sydney at the book launch. Met Patty, and a bunch of others. Even signed a stack of copies. (strange feeling, that one - but I think I could get used to it)

Here's a picture from zenashapter.com

Me (Zena Shapter) catching up with (clockwise from top left): Richard Harland, Steve Cameron, Kate Forsyth, Steve Cameron (again!), Alan Baxter, Tania Crivellenti, Saul Garnell, Dawn Meredith, Patty Jansen, Margo Lanagan

A wonderful day, a great launch, and an excellent anthology.

Available in paperback, and very cheap on ebooks, through amazon and smashwords. (29 stories, 724 pages http://keithstevenson.com/CDLblog/online-store/ )

Congrats Steve, and pictures!! Super cool. Yeah it does look photoshopped if we are taking votes...but I guess I'll just believe you when you say it wasn't....But it's really hard to be so trusting on the internet and all.

I assumed it was one of those life-sized photo cut outs you stand beside and they take your picture.

Well ... okay ... but someday I have no doubt some of you WILL be so famous as writers that you will have life-sized photo cut outs that fans can stand beside and have their photos taken "with" you.

(Actually, I'm going to go on Kickstarter and ask for $5000 so I can print up several hundred of them! oops -- wrong forum! wotf001 )

Grats!

Is that shorts and novels together or just novels? I think I'm about half your total, evenly split between novels and shorts. I'm happy with the growth after only 11 months. It's a fun time to be a writer. Smile

That's for shorts and novels together (255 of that is from one short story, seriously. Which I posted in May of this year. Some stuff does better than others, for sure).

Pretty amazing, though, and often these things are snowball-rolling-down-hill in their building momentum! Keep rolling!

As a sign I'm just reading things too fast... I first read this as "That squashed banana is just gonna keep rolling." The mental image was... interesting. wotf021

And... sold another story to Daily SF. I guess I'd better get my final WotF entry in soon before they post anything of mine (they have 3 stories of mine in the pipe right now, any one of which being published spells my pro-out doom).

As for all these wotf026 wotf049 wotf026 wotf049 I'm always in favour of more dancing bananas, dancing alligators, dancing spare ribs, you name it.
