I love the advice about seeking out and being a part of positive influences. That's not only some of the best writing advice I've read, but some of the best advice for life in general.

I now have a note by my writing desk saying, "Belief creates reality" and "This is a marathon" and "You are a published writer". Brittany is the best example of these. So inspiring!

This was a wonderful blog. I love the fact that so many here are willing to help others improve writing skills. It gives me hope to see someone go from rejected to winning. I figure each quarter I will learn at least 1 new thing and maybe I will reach the same heights as Brittney and Wulf one day. I am starting late to the process, but maybe one day I will get there. I may be 101 by then, but I will have enjoyed the worlds and characters I created.

Small steps add up to miles.

This was a great blog, and really inspiring. I've only recently joined the blog but found so many helpful and nice people looking to help me become a better writer. Wish I'd discovered this earlier!

Keep going and believe in yourself.

I am still in awe of the passion to write after giving birth. Not just to write, but to do so well enough for it to make finalist! Great post.

@thegirlintheglasses, that was quite the inspiring story! I really appreciate all you've done for the Forum, helping and encouraging others, who in turn helped you at your low points. That teamwork and community is what makes this place great.

I look forward to reading your story once it publishes.

Write on!

Hi Brittany. I read Half Breed and would like to know how to pronounce Seque.

By the time I reached the end I was saying CQ.

Also, how many words did it tally?

Julie sent me an email connection to the book, I read yours first.
