David Sakmyster Addresses Writing Group

Just received the following from David Sakmyster (WOTF 22)

I had my first book group meeting last night - went really well. 11 women, all very thrilled to have an actual author there. Every one of them said how much this book changed their view of SF, they were all shocked and
surprised at the quality of the stories and the emotional, realistic depth of the characters, and I believe it actually opened their eyes to this genre's potential.

We reviewed Diana's story, mine and Michael's. One woman even brought a prop and sprung a trick on someone else - secretly passing her a smooth stone right before we discussed 'Games in the Children's Ward' (if you
remember - in that story whoever had the stone was next to die...) So that was hysterical.

I wanted to say I wrote up Discussion Questions about the stories, and I'm probably going to do at least the other two 1st place winners for next week's presentation to the SF reading group at Write Book & Gifts. I know
you offer these books as study aids to schools for class discussion - I just thought if you're interested I could send you these study/discussion questions when I'm done and you can send them to any interested schools or
writing programs.
