The 26th Annual Achievement Awards was held on Saturday, August 28th at the Hotel
Roosevelt in the heart of tinseltown. It took place once again in the "Blossom Room",
which is the same room that hosted the very first Academy Awards, today known as
"the Oscars." Winners from the Contest year 1 Oct 2008 to 30 Sept 2009 attended.
The Writers and Illustrators of the Future workshops were held in Hollywood at Author
Services, Inc., The winner of the L. Ron Hubbard Gold Award for best illustrator of the
year was Seth J. Rowanwood from Toronto, Ontario and the Gold Award for the best
story of the year went to Laurie Tom from Torrance, California for her short story,
"Living Rooms."
