David C. Mullins was born in Port Angeles, Washington and has been a Washington resident most of his life. After graduating from high school he moved to Tempe, Arizona where he attended different trade schools in graphic design and computers but eventually moved back to Kennewick, Washington.

In Kennewick he worked in the construction business for several years and, while doing so, also completed a couple murals for a local mini-mall. He then returned to Phoenix where he took Japanese language classes.

It was during this time in Phoenix that David starting spending more time tapping into his creative energy forces, as he put it.  The results helped set him on the path he is now pursuing in art.  He stated he has been influenced by such artists as Giger, Frazetta and the Anime films Ghost in the Shell and Akira, and they’ve also provided inspiration for his work.  David is fully devoted to pursuing a career in art and says, “I am finally giving it the respect it deserves, and it’s beginning to show in my work, I believe.  I guess enlightenment doesn’t care how you get there."
