John Kolbek gives his acceptance speech.

           John Kolbek was born October 28, 1979.  He lived in Garfield, New Jersey and moved to Pennsylvania when he was ten or eleven.  John says he “was blessed” to have a great father, Richard Kolbek, a great mother, Linda Kolbek and a little brother, Joseph.

           John has been into art since he was little, always loving detail in anything--music, art, and movies.

           John’s father recently passed away unexpectedly and he misses him terribly, but in a way knows he’s still near.  Depression and sadness usually fuel John to being creative, so he has produced many works during this time period.  He loves fantasy because there is no limit, no rules to what can be done.

           John is currently a student at Northampton Community College and hopes to continue with an art education degree.
