Hristo Dimitrove Ginev was born on March 28, 1980 in Plovdiv, Bulgaria.  His father is a colonel in the army and his mother is a teacher.  He has a sister two years younger than him.

Hristo has been interested in drawing, painting and sketching from the beginning of elementary school.  He decided to go to The High School of Fine Arts-Tzanko Lavrenov in Plovdiv.  He spent five years there.  But according to him, the most unforgettable, creative, useful, exciting, profound and pleasant period was his attendance at the tutored courses of Ahmed Chaushev, a brilliant artist, perfect pedagogue and great man. The studio where the courses were held became Hristo’s second home.

In 1999, Hristo enrolled in the University of Architecture, Civil Engineering and Geodesy in Sofia.    He studied there for two years.  In 2001 Hristo applied for and was enrolled in The Art Institute of Boston. He is in the USA now hoping to prove and show his real potential as an artist.
