Joel Best gives his acceptance speech.

           Joel Best lives in upstate New York with his wife and son.  With a degree in German literature he was almost preordained to become a writer, but some of his other occupations have included painter, puppeteer, kiln operator, picture framer and ice chipper. 

           A multitude finalist in the Writers of the Future Contest, he has had fiction accepted by Chiaroscuro, Ideomancer, Electric Wine, and Deep Outside.  Besides helping to raise his son, he is currently working on a novel.
